Silvio Rodriguez spoke of the historic agreement with Obama

The Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez held Saturday night in Havana a concert in tribute to the intelligence agents of that nationality who were imprisoned in the United States, on the island known as "The Five".

"It is a moment of great importance, because we are privileged to have with us here for the first time at a concert neighborhood to our five heroes," said Rodriguez to the cries of public support, reported Tiempo Argentino.

"The Five" were a major international causes the Cuban government against the United States; were arrested in 1998 as part of an underground network of Cuban intelligence in the United States sought to prevent terrorist acts. Two had returned to the island after serving their sentences and three were returned to the island last Wednesday, as part of the agreement reached with US President Barack Obama to resume bilateral relations after more than 50 years of rupture.
