Raul says goodbye to colleagues who went to Liberia and Guinea Conakry

The Tuesday night to move back. Again Track José Martí International Airport in Havana, witnessed the most moving images. Again the Cuban president attended the farewell of our heroes, those who will be arriving this morning to West Africa to be precisely at the epicenter of the global fight against Ebola.

On this occasion, 83 were elected; 49 bound for Liberia and Guinea Conakry 34, nations hit by years of poverty, hotbed of the terrible disease. Each Raul gave him a hug at the foot of the aircraft steps, that hug eleven million Cubans, a whole island, also gave them before leaving.
They, with their flag in hand, promised to give everything, to heal to death, permanent care, healthy back, return to the country telling their victories ... and the deafening noise of the ship, also sent greetings to Fidel; they asked Raul confidence; told him not to worry, they were ready for what was coming.

IL-96 then left with a troop of luxury: 35 doctors and 48 nurses, all over 15 years of professional experience and have previously carried out internationalist missions, 42% on two or more occasions. Two of them, of course, add to this trip every six solidarity missions because this, his intimate place, no one has ever tired to help.

The emotional farewell were José Ramón Machado Ventura, second secretary of the Communist Party Central Committee and vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers; Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers; Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla; and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Minister of Public Health.

Cuba thus fulfilled the commitment made. With these two brigades totaling 256 Cuban health professionals who have gone to save lives. With each message travels immensely proud to have sons like them, tonight said goodbye to his family, friends, country, nation, to stop the dreaded disease that threatens the world. To our heroes all the congratulations of this beloved island.
