Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received on the morning of Monday 29 September to Dr. Hifikepunye Pohamba Excellency, President of the Republic of Namibia, who is in Cuba for a official visit.
Both leaders noted the excellent state of bilateral relations and historical reiterated the common will to strengthen and expand cooperation links from existing potentialities in various sectors. The fraternal meeting provided an opportunity also to address other issues of common interest in the bilateral and international agenda.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Mrs. Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Jerobeam Shaanika ambassador in our country.
On the Cuban side peers participated Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the State Council; Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, Minister of Public Health; Rogelio Sierra Díaz, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs; Giraldo Mazola and Collazo, ambassador-designate in the African country.
