The Chinese Government confirmed that host the 8th and 9th January next year the first ministerial meeting between China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), a forum hopes to open new areas for cooperation between the two economies.

"In China assembly and CELAC members discussed the priority areas of cooperation and building new mechanisms for her," the spokeswoman said today the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hua Chunying to announce the dates of the forum at a press conference.
"China and CELAC act in the spirit of mutual benefit and inclusive cooperation," Hua said.

China and the countries of CELAC, which includes all American nations except EE. UU. and Canada, agreed to hold regular meetings at the summit of leaders that the organism and China held in Brasilia last July with the presence of President Xi Jinping.

"China would also collaborate with other regional organizations in Latin America, to build a comprehensive network of cooperation," the Chinese spokesman said today.

At the ministerial meeting in Beijing will take part presidents of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solis, and Ecuador, Rafael Correa, as heads of state of the countries that hold the presidency of CELAC in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
