American Rev. Jesse Jackson calls for end to blockade Cuba

The American Rev. Jesse Jackson called for an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba United States 52 years ago.

Jackson stressed that the implacable opposition of the United States to Cuba in the presence of hemispheric meetings has offended almost all our neighbors, and recognize that this policy of strangulation against the Caribbean island has helped insulate Washington.

He also noted the internal politics as another important reason to keep the cruel measure, particularly through links with the White House Cuban-American voters in the state of Florida.

Jesse Jackson ruled that President Barack Obama can revive the American leadership in the region and ending a historic shame, if it eliminated the blockade imposed by the island nation.
